Need a solid socket 754 motherboard.

since the motherboard in my sig just blew the other day, i've been searching for a socket 754 motherboard to replace it because newegg, nor gigabyte will RMA it. i'm not going to get the same motherboard because i've been reading that other people have been having the same problem that i have. the Asus k8n looks pretty good, except that it sometimes has a faulty BIOS chip, and RAM issues. i found a DFI lanparty nf3 250Gb that seemos good, 5/5 out of 300+ votes, so i think i may go for that one, but i'm not sure. people also said that they have had stittering problems with their nf3 250 motherboards and 6800 video cards, so i listed 2 K8T800 motherboarsd. here are a few that i'm looking at, please help me decide.

I'd say the DFI Lanparty UT nf3 250gb....if you head to dfi-street.com you'll hear a lot of good experiences with that board....I wish DFI had done as well with the skt 939 Nf3 board as they did with that one.

yeah, but i have also heard of people having problems with the nforce3 250 chipset and 6800's. should i take my chances?

well the problems are basically intermittent freezes.....and the fact it won't OC as high...the NF4 has no problem with this, but I believe what happened was nvidia went to optimize the nf3 chipset to be compatible with ATI they fvcked up and forgot to optimize it for their own damn cards...

On my XP-M system my 6800GT maxed out at 430/1185 OC, with this nf3 chipset it maxes out at 415/1120 simply because the chipset doesn't like the bandwidth.

I honestly don't know how well VIA will perform over the nf3 though...so you'd have to do a little more research on that.

Basically I've just learned to deal with the BS that comes with the nf3 chipset =/
