Default Need to shave a bit off this budget...

Ok, so this is for my brother, just wondering where best to shave another $100 off it, what do you guys think. It's mostly for gaming:

cpu: 955 BE
ram: 4GB OCZ DDR3 1600
psu: OCZ 700 modxtream
case: Antec 300
HDD: Seagate 7200.12 750gb
gpu: 5770
DVD: standard burner
mobo: ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3

After combos and everything at newegg.com he's still about $100 over, I'm thinking he could downsize the mobo as his best option to save $$$, everything else is relative bare for a gaming rig. I wouldn't really want to go lower than the 5770 for a vid card, GB is dirt cheap so going smaller on hdd isn't saving much. What do you guys think? Mobo downgrade or cpu? What would you recommend?

You try price matching at ncix... you'll save big on shipping o ver newegg.

But even downing the mobo won't save you $100 bucks.

I should have clarified a bit more, my brother is in seattle interning with microsoft. Hence the newegg.com stuff instead of ncix. I'm the price match king at ncix :P

Get a 550W or a 600W PSU. It will be more than enough for that build.

Like Trotter build but I would downgrade the CPU to Phenom II 955, and get GTX 460 which perform much better in gaming. GTX 460 also comes with free Just Cause 2 which make it very good deal
Newegg.com - EVGA 768-P3-1360-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Here is CPU/motherboard combo that I recommend
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

Looking at those combo deals really puts things into perspective. You can get a good mobo and a 965 BE for the same price as a 920.
