need ram for a conroe build

ok well here's what i'm looking at getting right now. I'm gonna be using this for gaming and movies/music and probably 3d animation too. I will be OCing eventually. (i'm not sure if i'll do it right away or not)

If i get the first set (cheaper) then i'll probably upgrade to either a aftermarket HSF or a E6400. I don't know which. Also i might get Vista next summer but by then i'd upgrade to 2Gb if i don't get it now.

i can supply more info if you want too just ask. And if you think i should get other components too that's welcome as well. I'm already $50 over my planned budget so i'm not very willing to upgrade much but ideas are still welcome.

and also is it hard to manually set timings and speed in bios? this will be my first build...i'm not worried about the building process or anything. it's just that i've heard that for these OCZ kits you have to set timings and speeds in bios for them to work.
