Default Need a quiet CPU fan for my Q9550!

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays to all!

Well, I just finished building a brand new computer and it works very nice for me with one exception: The CPU fan is way too loud [the fan is the Intel fan that came with the boxed unit]. It may also be a bit weak because at idle I am receiving 35-40 degrees and that is when my room is 74 degrees.

Here are the specs for my newest build [please ignore my signature specs because that is my last build that I also am still using].

My New System Build 2

Microfly Blue Case
Windows Vista Ultimate w/SP1
ESC G31T-M
Intel Q9550 w/Intel fan + heatsink
Crucial 4GB 800 MHz
Thermaltake 600w PSU
E-GeForce 8600GTS DDR3 256MB
Memorex X16 Dual Layer DVD
Maxtor SATA 500GB HD
Maxtor SATA 300GB HD
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600

Total Cost = $348

I am happy because it was very low cost. The reason is because I was able to obtain a lot of the items deeply discounted and/or free through rebates from Frys and NewEgg and what have you [OS was free because I attended a Microsoft Conference].

I realize the case and MB are totally lower end [but I am living in a small trailer and do not have much room and besides, I have the other computer with the big case runnin' next to this one].

Ok, well, I hope someone can help me. I think this new CPU fan must be low profile as well due to my choice of case.

It's me,

Soar

If you want it even quieter, you can buy a Scythe S-Flex

Let us now how it works out!

How "high-end" is that fan? Like on the scale between 1 and 10?

I know its to late but Newegg.com - Thermaltake CL-P0464 80mm CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks. Keeps my q9550 which is oc to 3.84ghz at 37-41 idle, 54c while gaming
