which one do you recommend if the centre of the build is gaming?

Core i5 or Core i7?
GPU: already decided to go for 5870
HDD: 640GB WD C.Black
Case: Coolermaster haf 932
Memo: 4GB Gskill
Mobo: Asus p7p55d-e pro

planning to spend around £1000.

You will have no choice but to go i-5 with that budget...if that...the GPU alone is like 40% of your budget.

indeed it did eat my money because of 5870, but do you think its worth of money getting that gpu with the build unfortunately monitor/keyboard/mice are left out .

please help me to find a monitor that will utilize the power of this gpu + keyboard and mice. monitor around £150-170 22'' or watsoever.
