Default Need PC choosing help

I have a friend who works at Ginstar Computers and he got me these two to decide on, for overclocking and gaming which is more suitable

The C2D system is a lot better with a better CPU and video card.

What horrible deals I could build an X2 4200 with a 7600GT and 1gb ram for like 500 bucks...

Also, those boards probably won't OC very well.
