My God, 4GB memory? Useless much?

No, not worth it. I suggest bulding one yourself.

Not really, but it doesn't give a performance increase.

I went to monarch and went to combo to configure the motherboard for cpu and ram. I guess I could get less memory.

What kind configuration could you come up with Flanker?

Yea, ok, I'll design one. Graphic Design, Video Editing, 3D Animation, and Gaming you say? I'm assuming you've got a pretty big budget so I'm going almost all-out.

Case - XION Ultimate Black Case - $64.

Motherboard - MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum - $122.

Processor - AMD Opteron 165 - $316.

Memory - OCZ Gold Edition 2 x 1GB DDR400 - $228.

Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 250GB SATA150 - $108.

Videocard - eVGA GeForce 7800GT - $295.

DVD burner - NEC DVD burner - $39.

Floppy Drive - Floppy Drive - $8.

Power Supply - Antec TruePower 500W - $89.

Cooling - Best CPU Cooling Possible - $64.

More Cooling - Arctic Silver 5 - $6.

Operating System - Microsoft Windows XP Home w/SP2 - $94.

I'm not sure if you need one, but you were buying a laptop to begin with, so I'm assuming you need a Monitor;

Monitor - Viewsonic 19" 8ms LCD monitor - $287.

$1720. Less than half the price of your Laptop and MUCH better.

Looks good. I love the case.

I do have monitor, it's a Mag

The motherboard supports ddr 400 and the memory is ddr 500. Will that work?

Everything else looks good, thank you.
