chaintech av-710 - it's cheap and is known on head-fi.org to have excellent sound quality for the price.

quality is nice, but if he is a gamer he is looking for a card that supports eax 4.0/5.0 etc which chaintech does not.

I bought the Retail Version, of the Audigy 2 ZS on new egg for $93 Looked real nice. I 500 reviews all 5 star.

Personally I would cancel the order right away and get an X-fi XtremeMusic instead, the Audigy2 is the last generation sound card, X-fi is here and now. It's also A LOT better than the Audigy2 and is only slightly more expensive.
