Default Need help with system specs ...

If I want to run my gigabyte p35 D3SR at 1333 FSB, do I have to have a CPU and RAM with the same FSB? I don't plan on overclocking right now. I just want to know how this works.

I was thinking of getting the E6550 CPU, but I'm stumped on the RAM. I don't want to stick in 800 FSB RAM and have it downclock my FSB. Do I have to worry about that?

Can someone suggest some decent RAM that will do what I want. (2 x 1 GB)

The gigabyte manual lists 1333/1066/800 FSB. Are those not all reachable at stock speeds depending on the other components you use?

It also list support for DDR2 1066/800/667.

I have an e4400 and ADATA PC6400 RAM. I'm just wondering if I should return these and get ones with faster FSB's. Once again, I don't want to have to overclock anything.

well thats really your opinion... i wouldn't get a better CPU because if ur not overclocking.. ppl are spending less cash on a CPU and still performs better when u spent more cash.... but an e6550 is a nice CPU if u want a 1333FSB CPU and still good if u don't wanna OC

Here's what I have:

Gigabyte P35 D3SR
C2D E4400 800 FSB
ADATA PC6400 DDR2 800 2 GB kit

Just to be clear, without overclocking, if I replace the E4400 with a E6550 that has a 1333 FSB, and leave the RAM alone, will my rig be running at the faster FSB speed, or will my RAM create a bottleneck?

Sorry for all the confusion.
