i was wondering if i could get some help by checking if everything is compatible together. (not sure about the hard drive and motherboard) and i wasnt sure which mobo to get...so any help or opinions would be highly appreciated!!! thanks =)

The NIC card is not needed at all... just use the on board... That raptor is nice, but you can get the same performance with 2 drives in RAID. Unless your an audio nut the sound card isn't really needed as well. the onboard audio with boards now a days are pretty good.

as everyone is going to say "Get INTEL" they pwn right now... Anywho... Going with a Conroe setup is better performance, but if you want AMD then go for it. I have both systems (AMD and INTEL) so I'm still not biased either way...

what's your budget? and what do you have already? keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS, etc???

well hm...i kinda am a audio freak lol but i might stick with onboard..and you dont need a network card? does the motherboard already have one? (i use ethernet/cable if that helps any)

and hm...so does my mobo seem fine with my setup?

and yea ive already chosen all my other stuff..speakers, monitor, etc...and ive met my budget already. 3k

your mobo will have an onboard nic yes... a 10/100/1G nic, so no worries there. well, if nothing else, you don't need to have an X-Fi for sound... I have an Audigy2 ZS that sound awesome to me...

Newegg doesn't have it, but I have the card only... you can try this one... I have heard decent things about it... Audigy 4

If you need to save a few more pennies, you don't NEED to have a second optical drive... a good burner will work for now... you can always upgrade later if you wish..

dude thats a wicked good price for that 5200!
you need to post results of the build here and let us know how it turns out.
i've heard good things indeed about that mobo....great overclocker...
if you are going to overclock substantially, get a zalmann 9500 and some arctic silver 5 (you should get as5 in any event).
i have the card that nukem posted (audigy se) and it works just fine for games and playing music.
pm me or post here if you have questions or need help as you build/overclock...
WOOT amd! lol i am only slightly biased 'cos i got amd...
Good luck!

i would save your money and go core 2 E6300 if i were you but if you have to stick with mad thats a nice build allthe same

i will go for a AMD processor cuz i felt tat it works faster than INtel processor....i mean an AMD processor tat is also has a dual core...
THX
