Hey everyone,
I am currently building a PC right now and I need help deciding what CPU I should get and for the right price? I plan on gaming, music, movies, photos. This is what I have so far

Aspire X-Cruiser Case (Silver)
Aspire 500w Black Aluminum See Through P/S
Lite-On 52x Black Int CD-Rom Drive OEM
Lite-On 20x DVD-RW Super-Mutil LightScribe
Western Digital 500GB WD Caviar SE 8MB Cache 7200 RPM Hard Drive

You should get a different power supply. Aspire is on the list of brands to avoid in the Updated Power supply guide. Once we know what cpu and graphics card you are getting we can recommend a power supply that will suit your needs.

I would go for a Q6600

That is after you get a new power supply based on what your card will be.
