Ya, for me to go TRI i'd have to move up to a hx1000 The issue i have with moving from 260s to 280s is that i'd have to replace the waterblocks. These xspc blocks ONLY fit the 260, they are missing 1 ram sink and a few mosfet spots. Also, there really is no reason to go with the 965 over the 920.

Get this ram with that motherboard.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
Get this power supply.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX 1000W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

ps. I would get a nice case too.
Newegg.com - LIAN LI PC-V1000Z Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

oh yeah the 1866mhz corsair dominator ram w/ fan comes out sometime soon. and the new nvidia (ati 4870x2 killer) card. might want to hold off for a couple weeks.

A 1000w psu is total overkill for what he is getting. That would be pointless. I wouldn't get corsair dominator ram either. There is much better ram than corsair.

I would get these.

Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI Black 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Awesome ram right there.

actually a 1000w power supply is not overkill. the 4870x2 uses close to 400w at max load. and if you plan on overclocking a extreme i7 its going to use some juice. plus it sounds like he has money to buy another 4870x2 in the future.

and those gskills arn't on the list that asus recommended. From experiences I would get what they recommend and what other people have good results with. I choose the corsair because every benchmark with this motherboard used corsair ram. (most the dominator)

I don' believe those manufacturer recommendations because my g.skill HZ's weren't recommended by EVGA for my 680i but they still worked perfectly.
