Default need help with buying ram

hey im lookin for a good ram by the best ram company, i believe its OCZ ?? for gaming, um i am willing to spend up to $280 max. thanks. 2 x 1gb by the way, on a DFI lanparty ultra d and x2 3800+

I would say there's a group a RAM companies that are good along with OCZ. Corsair is among them in my opinion. On the other hand EVERY company makes particular modules that you should stay away from.

I am looking for some gaming DDR2. preferably 2x1gb, price cap at $290. Any suggestions?

I'm by no means an expert with RAM but i think the higher priced XMS series is for the most part a solid buy. If you are looking to OC you should check out that part of the forum. If you aren't OCing then almost any RAM will work fine.

BColes, forgot to mention that - If you're not OCing, then there's really no point in spending $250+ for memory.
