no, he needs a case, hard drive, windows xp and if he doesnt have them speakers and cd drive. you will probably be able to get everything for just about $1000 and it will run guild wars and sims 2 flawlessly.

If you want a much more budget-friendly approach, I'd go for a prebuilt and put a 6600 GT and some more RAM in it. That'd work fine. I'll get some links for such a project in a minute.

That comes out to around $850, and those games will run VERY well.

I was assuming he had a case already, if not, he could get a generic case from bestbuy or compusa or something, and just move his HDD. I duno about windows tho.

Actually...If you shop around on Newegg which I highly recommend, You can get a decent setup and still have cash in your pocket. I just built a computer that will run EQ2 at full settings and not even flinch for barely under a grand. But, this is the pc only, not the hardware like keyboard, mouse and such. But you already have that stuff no?
