Default Need a Gaming System for 2k! (List provided, need Suggestions!)

Hello im building a System for 2k USD! I have a list of a system but i need help tweaking it and suggestions. I want the best possible system for hardcore gaming.

I have a Keyboard, mouse, mousepad, soundcard, headphones.

Things im looking for:

I dont know how to overclock that much but i want to beable to b/c i plan on it by using the forums here.

I need very good detail such as in my list i show im getting the Artic Silver 5 and a CPU Cooling fan.

Well heres my List(Newegg items):

APEVIA X-Navigator - Good case someone suggested to me

ASUS P5B Deluxe Motherboard - This is another issue im having. I heard its a really good motherboard but i see other motherboards around the same price or maybe a little more and i dont know if this is the best i can get for my budget or if there is another one around the same price that is a lot better.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Best bang for the buck and good overclocking?

GeForce 8800GTX - Directx10 card and the ability to play anything at MAX settings.

G.SKILL 2GB DDR2 800 - I dont know anything about timings but i think someone suggested this memory to me.

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 - Heard this was a really good CPU cooler for Overclocking. Is it?

Artic Silver 5

Western Digital 250GB SATA HD

500W PSU - I dont know if a 500W PSU is good enough so any suggestions will be good.

Monitors: Someone told me TFT monitors are bad for gaming and accually CRT monitors are way better. I dont know whats true if so id love to see a really good CRT but if theres a better LCD id perfer that. Sick of the heavyness. Also I heard Widescreen monitors are better for gaming.

19" Non widescreen 2ms - I picked this one b/c of the insane 2ms this was before people said widescreen was better.

19" Widescreen 5ms - Found this LCD looks cheap looks pretty good.

Only concern i have is about the Display Type on Monitors, should i get a digital type idk I dont know how to tell a good monitor from another.

Basically this is my list but I need help with it. Like if someone could help me out with my monitor issue that would be helpful. I plan on playing games like Oblivion, Battlefield 2148 or w/e its called ><, BF: 2, WoW, F.E.A.R., games like that.

Please look over the items if you have something better or can help me out with my issues and stuff id greatly appreciate it. even if its not an issue like the case or HD and you think something is better let me know Ill take all the tips i can get. Thanks Guys

I would use this22" 5ms Monitor I just got it and it's really nice Also, if you're going to use this for hardcore gaming, I would suggest you get a soundcard, this will work just fine Audigy 2zs

Oh, didnt read that you had a soundcard. To answer the questions you have for jumping bean, that CPU cooler is a really good one and would be a very good choice if you're going to overclock. It's nicer having more than one harddrive, whether it be for RAID 0, 1, or just extra space. Also if you have the money, buy the 8800GTX, if you dont, get the 8800GTS, you'll be more than happy with either one.

I think you should stick with your build. That 8800gtx will be amazing.

Motherboard: eVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR Socket T $254.99
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=246707

one of the few 680i motherboards, very good overclocker and lots of pci slots

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 $310.9
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...ductCode=80860

best bang for your buck as you stated and good overclocker

CPU Cooler Zalman CNPS9500 $52.99
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=373509

one of the most silent and best cpu coolers on the marker, read the reviews on newegg. Many people on this forum use it

Grease Arctic Silver 5 $5.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835100007

keeps your cpu very cool

Ram: Corsair 2GB DDR2-800 $276.00
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...ctCode=85025-5

low cost and decent ram, timings arent the best but it should overclock ok.

Hard Drive 1: Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB $76.90
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...Code=101220-12

Hard Drive 2: Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB $76.90
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...Code=101220-12

2 very good hard drives for raid 0

Graphics: EVGA GeForce 8800GTS $464.99
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=322839

I'd get this gpu over the gtx just because of the price. IMo the gtx is overkill right now. This should run everything out at max.

Sound: Onboard - Realtek ALC882M

Lan: Onboard - Marvell 88E805

Optical: SAMSUNG Black 16X $32.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151136

Good cd drive with lightscribe

Case: Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS $149.99
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=371252

full tower case that has good airflow. its not flashy and it looks allot better then the one you picked IMO

Power: Thermaltake W0106RU 700W $155.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153039

a lot of watts and it has modular connectors to decrease clutter

Monitor: SAMSUNG 205BW Black 20" $299.99
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...636&CatId=1410

6ms 1680x1050 widescreen with adjustable stand and its 240 after rebate.
