Need budget gaming build suggestion for $600

Hey guys,

One of my cousin is getting more interested in PC gaming and would like to build one.
His budget is $600
His buddy is selling him a 970 for $130 which I think is an amazing deal so if he gets that I guess his budget is now $470.

He doesn't care if it's AMD or Intel.
I was thinking AMD due to his budget.
I already found a good deal on a PSU that's on sale right now so let me know what you guys think of this or if there's a better modular psu you guys can suggest
the one I'm posting isn't modular.
EVGA 600W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply $29.99 + Free Store Pickup 06-18-2016 - Slickdeals.net
You can exclude keyboard, mouse and monitor. I might be able to get him those for free.

Thanks

What games? The Skylake i3 build from the other guy's thread would fit into that budget easily.

Just the i3 6100, a cheap H110 board, and a single 8GB stick of 2133. Up to you and budget if you want to go 1TB drive or SSD.
