he still has to fit case, optical and vista. It's going to put him over. But it's worth the extra cash for sure if he can stretch it a bit.

still that would be only like an extra $250. it is def worth it over the phenom.

the phenoms are still pretty close at performing, especially in games. He could either save alot going phenom or go to i7 for max last-ability.

you can afford an i7 on a 1000 budget just need to get the right parts.
