Need advices about selecting a video card to buy!

I just discovered that ATI came out with the X1000 series. LOL, Im late, I was thinking about getting a 6600GT, but now I have to rethink about it again, what a hassle.

What about, when will they have a less expensive line of Geforce 7 cards, could it be a better idea to buy then or now (It would be nice if I dont have to wait too long ).

The bottom line is Which video card will give me the "BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK".

Any advices? Should I get the 6600GT or something in the X1000 series? Or wait for the less expensive line of Geforce 7 comes out?
Like 7200, 7600, etc.

i had a 6600gt that i got for like 150 bucks a while ago ... it served me well, i could play doom 3 and half life 2 easily... but it lagged a bit with AA and AF ... its good though. i'd go with the 6600gt for bang for the buck.

6800 is probably the best bang for your bucks, and if you can afford it get a 7800GT

Depends your budget. I would buy these cards in this order:

6600GT - $150
6800GT - $300
7800GT - $500 - ?

The 7800GTs are actually in the 400s, and flashing them to GTX saves you quite a bit of money, anywhere from 100 to 150 USD.
