For a server looks like you have a good start. For a gaming machine you don't need all that. Go with a X**** series for ATI or the 7000 series for Nvidia. Don't get the X*** series ATI. That's for gaming though. For a server you wouldn't need a video card like the one have there, something cheaper would be fine.

Looks suspiciously like a server spec, but it's a monster none the less. Spend less on the graphics card if that will be it's use. I suppose it could also be used for graphics/CAD/3D work in which case you'd be well off with a Quadro Fx of some variety.

Not really too up to speed with cases, although I would look at something aluminium based to help with the heat dissipation in that thing.

with a $2500 budget something has to give. You have $1867 tied up in just the mobo, CPUs, and RAM. That only leaves about $633 for a graphics card, LCD monitor, water cooling, and case.

Well, I am willing to let go a little on the processor. Because 2 dual cores, 1.8 GhZ per core multiply to 7.2 and that's an overkill. Are there similar dual core processors but with 1.6 GhZ per core?

AMD X2 4800+
DFI-NForce4 Ultra-D
2gig G.Skill Extreme series
2X250gig WD SATA hdd in raid 0
and for grfx a 7800GT or a Quatro but i don't know much about the Quatro's

Case: Coolermaster Centrian V
PSU: Antec True Power II 550watt
