Ok I was just talking with my wife and she agreed with me that 500-600 is ok but 800 would be better

So now I am committing 800 dollars to this build.

I am sorry to change the dollar amount but I think if I am gonna build this system I should do it right

Please if you could change the parts for a 800 dollar system I would really appreciate it

For $800 do you also need the windows?

Can you wait till the 9th? Intels newest chips out then, and it could affect prices.

Okay..

With the build I alresady did, I would upgrade the psu to something like a Corsair or OCZ. Better Amps on the 12V rail. A better mobo... say a 880/890 model, a better case and a cpu cooler so you could overclock it to be faster. The cpu is made to do that so you should!

Or

Heres a good i5 build: Gound it in my cart on a different computer...

Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80605I5760
Newegg.com - ASUS P7P55D-E Pro LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Newegg.com - XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Newegg.com - OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV4GK
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

And again, thats $772 with 50 in rebates so you have 80 for a case.

I don't spec cases as I don't gotta look at them... you do, so pick what you like

With the new Sandybridges coming out on the 9th.... things get all tossed up in the air. The i5 build is quite a solid build with above average parts all around. It'll last a long time, an if more cpu is needed, you would be ale to upgrade to a i7 1156.

Because its 169.99 with another30 off in mir.

The 5830 is actually slightly better, and the xfx is a very good brand, than the 1G 460.

Its honestly a toss up between the 460 and a 5830. They are very close in performance and value. I do like xfx too. Oh and a lifetime warrentee is great.

Ok question about adding a card with svideo

I have been doing some reading and see that I could run an extra video card (with Svideo)

However it was said that it must be compatible with the primary video card

Based on XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card, What svideo card do you think would be compatible with it

Also can't wait till the ninth to see if there are any price changing

If youre not xfire or sli the 2 cards, it can be any 2 cards of the same line, aka 2 nvidias or 2 ati cards.

So you could go 1 excellent card, and 1 cheap card.

But you really hould be able to run via the hdmi port.
