what do you think? can i get something cheaper but still same power as these items. Im planning to stick to Core 2 duo, but im still not sure about the other parts if its a good deal.

and what power supply, cooling system (fans only lack of budget) should i buy.

I prefer the abit aw9d-max motherboard but the one you have chosen is suppose to be awesome 2 soundcards are really for audiophiles on-board sound with a good mobo is still good. I would also swap your western digital harddrive for a seagate barracuda it has long warranty is quiet and is the fastest current 7200rpm hdd

I've heard WD's are quieter actually..but if noise isn't a major concern, it's hard to beat the Seagate's price and warranty.

yea, for the same price I would get 2 320GB seagates, one 8800GTX instead of SLI, a matched pair of Corsairs or G.Skills instead of seperate sticks, a lesser X-Fi unless you need all the plugs, and the logitech 5.1 speakers
