Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 20 Amp Amps.)

seems like its sufficient to me..

so why is it that you don't want to go with socket AM2?

That PSU meets the wattage requirements, but it doesnt rate 20 on the 12v rail, and is therefore, incompatable.

Here\'s a quote I saw once on a /b/ forum a while back, I think it\'s funny:

I\'ve been thinking of \"Heck\" lately. If it even exists, it\'s got to be a much nicer place than \"Heaven\". I mean... all the gay men are down there. You KNOW it\'s well decorated.

Note that I do not in any way condone homophobia or am in any way homophobic. I merely thought that it was clever.

there are TWO 12V rails, one is 15 and the other is 17. i don't think you can just add them up, but combined they're definitely more than 20.

No, you cannot add tehm up. Look at the other PSU in my first post to see why I chose it, it defiantely meets the requirements.

Also, I somehow forgot to ask that all important question: Will this budget rig run the latest games with decent looking settings (Oblivion, FEAR, Doom 3, ect.)?

I know that I need at least 2 gigs of ram, but that's covered: I am buying 2 sticks of 512, plus I am adding the stick of 512 that is in my current pc, and a 256 thats in there too, falling a little under 2 guigs, but still getting the job done.

instead of a 320 GB for 150 go for something like this...it's the same except 250GB and almost 1/2 the price so you could actually get 2 and have 500GB for just $20 more.

i guess you might not want an OEM one...but i've never heard of anything about getting OEM Harddrives.

ok...well if you're willing to go OEM. Here's teh same HD you were gonna get except $50 less but OEM.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not so sure about OEM. I would rather have to pay a little more for the complete packaged product than have to RMA it sevral times to get one that works, just to save a few bucks. It just doesn't seem worht it, even with the reduced cost.
