Is my power supply going to handle this?

I have a 600W Power Supply with 2 +12v Rails. +12v1 Max 18a, +12v2 Max 20a. I also have 2 Opteron 270 CPU's, 2 SATA2 HDD's, and will be getting 2 8800GT's. Will this power supply be enough to handle all the hardware? Or will I need a new Power Supply?

based on the specs, it seems it should hold its own

if i can get away with 2 8800gtx's, and oc'd q6600, and a 680i, along w/ 3 hard drives and a soundcard on 650 watts... i think you'll do just fine

though i am not sure about the amps 38 seems fine to me.. but you may want a 2nd opinion... i was running 57 on my old rig

You should look at the psu sticker and find out what the combined max 12v is since it's usually less than adding each 12v rail together.

I sometimes see multi railed psu's that are rated almost 30% less total amps than when each rail are just added together.

^^^ agreed

alot of psu's have about 5 rails... 20 amps each... yet combined its only 74 amps or something of the sort, and 740 watts insead of the 1000 some are rated.. gotta pay close attention
