It should run fast. I would toss the H50 out the window. And if your really serious about H2O cooling then you should add another radiator and cool the mobo (northbridge and mosfets) and the video card. If your going to do it, go all out

well... i am seriously considering going with a loop for my CPU, you dont think a triple rad would be enough for just the CPU? do you think with a tripple rad and six 110 cfm fans i could get 4.5ghz out of an i7 920 ( if its a good chip )? i dont want to go all out, im still hesitant to go with a water loop at all... maybe hesitant isnt the word, intimidated would probably be a better word. but i am seriously considering going with a loop. im on a couple other forums ironing out the details with the water loop.

what do you think about the mother board in my build ( you suggested it to me in the PMs we were doing not to long ago ) or the one Calc recommended? i heard that gigabyte has horrible customer service, so will probabably go with the Asus.

anything else i should consider. i really appreciate your input Slay...

A triple core is fine for just the cpu, but it's not the only component that will get hot when your trying to overclock, especially when you set such lofty goals. A lot of people have custom loops and they can't get much more than 4 GHZ. You'll need to watercool the mobo, the video card won't matter til you decide to overclock it and guess how hot a 5970 gets. Very.

maybe 4.5ghz is a bit on the positive thinking side. i dont want to water cool everything. i cant justify spending that much money :/

Well it's not the fastest SSD but the price is Fabulious and it's big enough for your OS.

Why are you going with aq 1000W psu? 600ish is the lower end.

Even 400W for a loop is overkill.

I think he means is 600 watts would work for the system and the extra 400 watts for a loop is excessive.

I think 1000 watts is cool if your planning a 2nd 5970 later and you want extra for anything else that comes along. Thou you could probably get away with a 850-900 watt unit and still have plenty of upgrade power.
