That would be a great board to buy. I think it might be cheaper here, Newegg.com - XFX MBN790IUL9 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI DDR3 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Two cards will work together on that board, as will one, but I'm pretty sure 3 definitely won't. I don't think that video card can do tri-sli and I'm not so sure the board can either. Still awesome though I'd say go for it.

the board can actually do 3way SLI, however i suggest u dont get that. as far as i know, the 790i has already been discontinued. there are also lots of problems with nvidia chipsets such as data corruption and other stuff.

I'm a bit of an nvidia fanboy and never had any problems with nvidia. if anything goes wrong it should be under warranty. that board is 3x what I paid for board (though its asus) and i've had no problems.

PS: u are right, it can do 3-way SLI, thought I dont think the 9800 cards can do that. I think only the 8800 ultra can right now?? something like that not sure look into it

since the card already has 2 GPU's I think you can only use two 9800gx2's together for a total of 4 GPU's (quad-SLI)
