CPU $450 – Intel Core Duo T2600 Yonah 667MHz FSB Socket 478 Processor Model BX80539T2600 - Retail
PSU $90 - Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply - Retail
Case $110 - Antec Performance I P180B Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel for durability through the majority of chassis 1.0mm cold rolled steel around the 4 x HDD area ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
Motherboard $ -?
CPU cooler $ -?
RAM $ -?
HDD $80 - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
Video Adapter $130 - ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD/256M Geforce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
Op-drive $40 - NEC 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model ND-3550A - Retail

I found all of this stuff on newegg. I'm not sure about the motherboard, ram and cpu cooler because of the compatibility with the conroe socket 478. I'm thinking of getting a motherboard with 1-2 pci express x16, with atleast 3-4 pci slots. probly a mobo under $200 and ram under $150, and i'm sure i can get a cpu cooler for about 20-30 bucks.

That cpu isnt a conroe if you thought it was. Just making sure you know. Even so, that CPU isnt very good for the price.

ok, well i found them on tigerdirect.com, but i hear bad things about ordering from that site, i can't find them on newegg.com, and will i be able to use the e6700 with an older mobo socket lga775?
