Talking My First Rig...

First off I would like to say hello to everyone who reads this...

Now for the fun noob question. I am new to this forum and new to gaming in general I would like to build my first gaming rig, I have 1300.00 usd budget and I am looking to partition my drives so I can run linux as my primary os. and use windows strictly for gaming. I would also like to try and future proof as much as possible and before any body asks this is a completely new rig which mean monitor and keyboard etc... so any suggestions would greatly appreciated. also if I have to sacrifice in other areas and build as i go I will be ok with that as well.
