Figured I was due for a change so I'm turning my wifes comp into a home theatre PC to stream in the cable (including HD), play blue-ray and watch HD home videos and eventually take over sound system one I re-build the basement. Here is what i'm looking at right now, any comments?
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-MA69GM-S2H
CPU: AM2 3600+
PSU: Corsair 450
RAM: 4GB
HD: 2X360 IDE
GPU: 9600GT
Ext storage on network: 2X500GB
Case: Silverstone Lascala LC20B-M
GPU2: Hauppauge WinTv HVR-1800
OS: Vista Home Premium
Blue Ray: LG GGC-H20L
Sound: AuzenTech X-FI Prelude 7.1
My TV is a 42" plasma which is what it will be running 24/7 with the rare swap out for a monitor during LAN parties (hence the 9600 instead of the onboard video) or when a friend is over and wants to play.
Red is what I have left over from her comp and other builds, black is what's on the shopping list.
Any holes? Recommendations?
[edit]Quick check, the mobo has pci-e x16 and x4, the HVR-1800 is pci-e x1. x1 will work in an x4 slot correct?[/edit]
