Hi all the PC experts,

I listed the hardwares that I want to build my first gaming PC with. I haven't bought them yet, could you give me some advices if these hardware will work fine together? I did some research on PC hardwares and this is what I picked. thank you all.

case: Buy.com - Cooler Master CM Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Chassis

MOBO: Buy.com - EVGA X58 FTW3 Desktop Motherboard - Intel Chipset

CPU: Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601950 Looks like 950 and 930 are only 20 USD difference so I picked 950

RAM: Amazon.com: Corsair Dominator GT 6 GB PC3-16000 2000Mhz Triple Channel Core i3, i5, i7 DDR3 Memory Kit CMT6GX3M3A2000C8: Electronics I like the color of this RAM I can get same RAM with less money, they just looks different

Video Card 2 way SLI: Amazon.com: EVGA GeForce GTX480 1536 MB DDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card 015-P3-1480-AR: Electronics

SSD: Amazon.com: Intel 80 GB X25M Mainstream SATA II Solid-State Drive (SSD) Retail Package SSDSA2MH080G2R5: Electronics I will buy a external HD later for files

Power Supply: Amazon.com: Cooler Master Silent Pro M1000 Series Modular 1000W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply RSA00-AMBAJ3-US: Electronics

Blu-Ray drive: Buy.com - LG UH10LS20 Blu-ray Reader/DVD-Writer - Internal

CPU Fan: Spire TherMax Eclipse II SP984B1-V2 universal CPU Cooler This is the lastest product.

Monitor: Amazon.com: Samsung P2450H 24-Inch Widescreen Touch of Color LCD Monitor - Rose Black: Computer & Accessories

What do you think? ;)

My i7 920 oc'ed to 4.2GHz with (2) GTX 480's peaks at a little over 1000 watts when gaming. I would recommend getting a little more power. This is a decent power supply for the price.

Newegg.com - KINGWIN Mach 1 ABT-1220MA1S 1220W ATX / BTX SLI Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply

And your heatsink selection doesn't match up performance wise with the rest of your parts. The Noctua NH-D14 would be a good choice but the heatsinks on the Dominators will be in the way. So considering that I would get the Prolimatech Megahalems with a hi-speed 120mm fan or a Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 with a hi-speed 120mm fan.

If you get the Thermalright you'll want to lap it.
