Get a 165 and 6800gs. Then upgrade the graphics card for dx10, there is no reason to get such an expensive card that only has dx9.

7800gt is just about 90 bucks more than 6800GS, and it provides much better performance than 6800GS, and i don't think it is problem from one to get DX9 card, because dx10 games will not be released before a year from now, and 7800gt will able to run dx10 games, but it will run on dx9 mode

so i think it is better to get 7800GT

ok what the h3ll is dx10? lol. ive got a 1500 budget. so ill look and see if i can get a dual core cpu. thanks for your advice. o and um whats wrong with the 4200, the 4000 isnt dual core.

ok i added everything up (mouse, keyboard speakers, sound card, etc.) and it comes up to just over 2000. hope my parents will get it for me. anyways i went over to my friends house because he just go the new fx-60 in. we installed it and started playing some games. HOLY SH1T! that thing is a beast even with a 6800gs, it runs games like a dream.

ok i got everything lined up except the RAM. i am going to be overclocking, i got the dual core 4400+ and 7800gtx. and i need some RAM. it is between these two:
