Default Re: My First Gaming Desktop

I was actually looking at that motherboard and i thought it sounded better to me. The one question i do have is that i don't plan to upgrade this for quite a while. I am in college and probably won't upgrade the CPU or GPU until 2 or 3 years from now. Is it worth getting the 1366 board? Or could a save alittle money and get the i7 860, the Motherboard i originally posted, and 4GB or ram?

so basically - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - XFX HD-587X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5870 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080P LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 20000 :1 (ASCR) Built-in Speakers - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - XCLIO A380BK Fully Black SECC 1.0mm thickness ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Sony Optiarc Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD/CD Rewritable Drive - CD / DVD Burners - A-DATA Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model AX3U1600GB2G9-2G - ASUS P7P55 WS SuperComputer with NF200 LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

$1,574.86 including shipping - $40 in rebates.

One thing i should also note, i can't but all of this until the summer, so i am just trying to get a close system right now and when i go to buy it it might change alittle

another quick question. the PSU is an ATX12v and the case wants an ATX, Also the Motherboard is an ATX board, will the PSU work with those?
