I've been trying to get a new computer now for quite a while and since I wanted to make sure that I get a good price with a good system. The stores like walmart, best buy did not have that. So i went up on the internet looked at computer forums and this one came up, and i started looking at some of the topics/discussions that you guys have and it seems that i would end up saving some money, I want the computer mainly for Video Editing and of course for games. Here i picked out some parts for the build although I am not sure if all the parts would go in right, or would you guys suggest me any other parts.

so this is what i have so far
my budget is at $1800

Thanks guys in advance for all the help

looks great so far, but a few things i would change would be the mb to:
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TPower I45 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

and i would get the 1gb model of the 4870 but with ur budget u might be able to get a x2

so what u need is a psu and cpu:
Corsair TX 750W ATX 12V Power Supply - CMPSU-750TX - Buy.com

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
i also have a q6700 for sale for 200 if intested(link in sig)

if ur wanting a monitor ull have to ask someone else, idk any thing about them.

edit: also that case is pretty expencive not alot of ppl around here would suggest spending that much on a case but if u like it get it. but here are some good other ones:
Newegg.com - Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
Newegg.com - NZXT TEMPEST Crafted Series CS-NT-TEM-B Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

if ur not an overclock.. there is no reason for that rampage... the I45 is a great choice.. and so is that asus p5q

i think with the money saved from the mobo you should get a 4870x2 ;)
