games in the future and right now are utillizing dual cores like FEAR and new games coming out in 2006 so you would be much better off going with an X2. Why would you go with a 4000+ even if the X2 is around the same in gaming right now and will be better in the future.

I will look into this. It would seem simple common sense if it does indeed have a performance advantage over the single core 4000+.

EDIT: Realistically, games will not be dual processor compatible for a while. Once it becomes standard, it will be time to upgrade my processor anyways, I will go with dual core.
