My First Build

Hi everyone this is my first post on tech-forums...

Im starting my first build pretty soon , Im getting ready to order parts for it. I want to use it for moderate gaming, music/picture editting and whatever else i choose to do in the future..

So far these are the parts ive decided on

The physical assembly seems straight forward enough . Im a bit worried about the setting up the settings. ive never attempted anything like that before. Any advice on the parts or the build would be greatly appricated.

O BTW Is that a decent mobo for what i want??

might I suggest an INTEL E8400 - Better for the money than the Q6600.

Are you going to get a video card? If so, then the PSU might not be adequate for it's needs... average watts for a basic build is around 500-550W with 32-36 (or more) AMPS.

that's amps on the 12v rail btw, go for a 4850 512MB , you can't loose

get higher clocked DDR2 it's only an few bucks more and you'll have more head room
