Isn't the Conroe an Intel CPU? You would then have to buy another new motherboard for your dream rig. I am confused.

Also this UPS would be better if you don't already don't have yours

I have one and it rocks!

Well, if you're serious...

That's an awesome build!

1KW PSU, wow.

For conroe, you're going to have to buy a new mobo, and ram too. Becuase it uses DDR2 ram. Other than that its a very nice build. I wish i had them money to buy that monitor.

No, I'm not kidding, this is my actual build and display, hehe.

Yeah, I noticed I'd have to switch out some components when I upgrade to conroe, no problem there, you might've noticed my expendable income, hah.

well, I don't know about that, it seems The Isolator has a higher Joule Suppression rating and an Unlimited Connected Equipment warranty, other than that I don't really need more functionality to a surge supressor, thanks for the recommendation though, don't think I noticed that when I first searched for an SS.

Well, you should believe it, because it's true.. Anywho, only 2GB's? I don't get what you're saying, the general concensus around here is that two sticks run faster in dual channel, and that more memory than that is hardly utilized by XP, perhaps I'll get 4 when vista comes around, and when 4 is actually closer to standard, until then I don't fancy sacrificing performance, however marginal.

Edit: oh by the way, I don't make anything a year, in the traditional sense, when I turned 18 I received a lump sum of $28,000, figured I'd splurge on a computer, next? a car.

well, I thought a raptor over at first, then I thought I might try a SCSI/SATA hybrid, come to find out that motherboard doesn't support SCSI, so I just scratched it, I suppose after that I pretty much forgot about getting a master, suppose I'll get one though.

And yeah, I ordered the case first to trial run Newegg/UPS, it's a beast.. I can't really find words for how awesome it is, the perfect case, and my final setup is going to look awesome, think I'll buy a digital camera just to show you guys.

EDIT: oh yeah, see my last post for information on my job, I don't really have one, I just had a trust fund of sorts.

Well, you could always get a SCSI card, but those cost like $300 at the least lol.
