He is a good way of thinking about it.

AMD is a big fat slow guy
Intel is a skinny fast guy

The Intel and AMD guys are having a brick carrying contest. The AMD guy can pick up many more bricks than the Intel guy, but the AMD does not run as fast as the Intel guy. But the Intel guy can run fast, he just cant pick up as many bricks. Get it?

lol nice job explaining it guys. They do look interesting. I'm going over a couple of price lists now. The local store would be able to set me up with a 3500+ for the same money as the p4 3.2ghz. That msy has awesome prices, so i might call them up to find out about freight and assembly costs.

No DDR2 support for AMD? Wouldnt that set them back a little?

na cos ddr2 is still having teething troubles. basically amd has let intel use ddr2 while it has faults and will be soon useing it once it has had time to work propperly
