Why are you making multiple threads on the same build...

1. yes
2. any 780i, 680i or 790i Ultra board supports SLI and yours is one of them
3. Yes, but there are stuff I don't recommend...
Like that 10k RPM Drive, stick with a normal drive and partition it for 36gb or something..

Drop the Ultimate.. its not worth it.. I recommend Home Premium instead..
I don't know why you're spending the cash for three GTX 280's, stick with one.. its more than enough.. or better yet get two of another card or SLI and Crossfire it..

None of us here recommend the Q9450, because of its low Multiplier.. it won't overclock very well unless you have a really good board

PSU- you're going to need a good 800w + for three GTX 280's

three 280's is ridicules, like said get one, or get get like 2 4870's and a board that supports crossfire.

tx-2 is the best thermal past

the true (thermalright ultra 120 extreme) is the best air heatsink

don't get that cpu, if you want to spend more then the q6600 get a q6700

again like said just get a normal hdd (7200.11 750gb or wd 640gb)

for ram, either some crucial tracers or g.skill (or ocz reapers). i would just get 800, 1066 is not noticably faster and you would have to tighten the timings on them.

cpu cooler - Thermalright Ultra Extreme (TRUE) If you can fit it in your case. Most cases won't fit it so it's little brother, the Thermalright Ultima-90, would probably be best bet. OR you can go water cooling...

paste - Arctic Silver 7

RAM - Newegg has a great deal on G-Skill PC6400 2 x 1GB now

PSU - Corsair 620HX

HDD, 500GB 7200.11 Seagate Barracuda SATA... No need for a 2nd HD, and the 7200.11's aren't far of the 10k's in performace

1) Yes
2) Not sure don't know jack about that card but tri-sli is a waste of money. One great single card will play anything on the market very well
3) AFAIK

Paste- TX-2 instead

He should go 4gb instead for $90 DDR2 800 G-Skill 4-4-4-12, Cas 4

PSU- thats still not enough power for all those... but if he drops to dual HD 4850's with a DFI X48 instead, much better than a lame nVidia board

Western Digital and Seagate 7200.11 32 MB's are good...

For the cooler the Xigmatek Rifle is good.. since he's really new to this he shouldn't go Water Cooling..

If you plan to get Nvidia video card, then why the **** you want 3 or 2 GTX 280 ?

One GTX 280 is more than enough, because based on many reviews GTX 280 can max almost every game at 1920x1200

Internal HDD 2 - Whats the Best 750GB 7200RPM HDD on the market?

10.000RPM is a waste of money, specially if you get the old Raptor because the modern 7200RPM is fast as the old 10,000RPM Raptor

Anyway I recommend this HDD
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
