OK, this is my first build, just like alot of us on this forum. My budget is around $2200 US. I want it for high end gaming, here's what I got so far...

CASE

Looking for something without lights, but not too plain, and able to hold 2 GTX's eventually.

PSU
Fortron Source FX Series FX760-E ATX | EPS Quad 12V 760W $189.99

Is this enough for dual GTX's in the future?

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz $316.00

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16829102002
I don't really care about sound, I just need a card to take the weight off my CPU for better performance.

FLOPPY
MITSUMI Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive $6.99
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16821104101

OPTICAL DRIVE
No clue, I don't burn often, but I wan't the option to.

MONITOR
I need some help on this one, I prefer CRT, with a high resolution, but won't spend over $250.

Also, I' not buying until April. I'm not sure if I'll snag one of the newer cards then, or just be happy with the GTX at a lower price. Thanks in advance folks.

Total $1848.92
Without a monitor, optical drive, and shipping.

As far as the psu goes. The one b1gapl suggested is an awesome psu and would be plenty to power that system.

The only problem with sli 8800gtx's is they require 4x6pins. Now you could get the extra 2x6pins by using 4-pin molex to 6 pin but you will lose probably the whole string of molexs. So might want to think about your computer arrangment in your head or something and figure out if you can use the string of molexs for an extra 8800gtx if you get one later.

For a cpu fan...i suggest a zalman 9500 or scythe ninja with a good fan, and some as5 of course.
