Oh and as far as your low clock speeds. Its cool n quiet I think, it lowers your multipliers when your computer isn't being stressed, in order to save energy, and keep your CPU cool.

Cool n' Quiet is for AMD processors, it's the same thing as C1E and EIST or Speedstep for Intel.

Ok well speedfan is giving me readings of 49c idle on both cores. after 10 minutes of TF2 it jumped to 61c. That seems pretty high, around the same temp as my old P4.

Currently trying to get old comp to recognize my microsd card for pictures : )

It's your core voltage. You can read it using Core Temp. Or try using CPU-Z

Did you put enough thermal paste on the CPU and mount the heatsink flat?

It can go the other way too...

Too much paste acts as an insulator.

That is the stock paste the processor came with it looks just like that. Maybe it has to cure?

And finally pics of what I was able to build thanks to these forums.
