Default Multi Monitor Video Card

I need a video card that will support up to 8 monitors. Preferably with good OpenGL support.
I would prefer 1 video card over 2 that support 4 each.
Acceptable price range: $400-700

Any suggestions?

I've never even heard of An 8 monitor gpu.

The quardo 420 has 4, but its about 450us and so I doubt you'll find an 8 for under 700, and i assume that Canadian.

Your best bet would be a GPU with 4 DVI-D slots, if such a thing exists and AFAIK there isn't.

Oh there is, the upper Quardos support 4 dvi's. Again, theyre $450US each.

ATI is supposed to release a version of the HD 5870 that will support six monitors but so far there is no word on a launch date.

According to CPU Mag (and the manufacturer), this is the first and only card to support an octet of displays. I think it's a bit out of your acceptable price range though....$1800+
