okay, i'm pretty familiar with most types of the individual components availible for the computer, but i've never really taken the time to familiarize myself with all of the different types of motherboards availible these days.
the components i am pairing with the motherboard (relative to this topic) are:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego
Corsair RAM (1 x 2Gb sticks)
eVGA GeForce 7800GTX 256Mb
Western Digital 320Gb HDD SATA II
also, i'd like the motherboard to be compatible with Athlon 64/ Athlon 64 FX/ Athlon X2 processors, mainly so i can upgrade to an X2 processor late next year sometime when they get cheaper.
i've heard that motherboards made by ASUS and DFI are the ones to get, but i'm open to whatever board can offer the greatest performance and stability.
finally, i'd like to keep the price below $150 if possible.
