I'm looking to build a computer. I had decided on the following MOBO: Asus P5N32- SLI SE Deluxe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131031
As I got to reading more reviews and forums, it looks like the nVidia nForce 680i might be an option for me to consider:
EVGA 680i: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813188009#spec
Asus 680i: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131073
My question is this: is the 680i motherboard the right way to go? Should I look into others boards, such as the NVIDIA nForce 590?
At this point, I have 'tired head' from all the research. I play MMORPG games, use Office for work, and video conversions. I'm handing my Dell down to my son and want a PC that can last and can easily be upgraded in the years to come. Here are the other base components I had decided upon:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Memory: Corsair XMS2 2x1GB DDR800 6400
Video Card: EVGA GeForce 7950GT 512MB PCI-E
My plan was to utilize an SLI setup and get another 7950GT in a few months.
