I currently own a 5 year old desktop. It's an Intel 845EG2 motherboard with a 2.0GHz processor and 2X256Mb RAM (133 MHz I think DDR).

I bought by mistake a PCI-express X-800 graphic card and obviously I can't use it with this motherboard since it's an AGP.

I just want to buy a cheap motherboard which will have a PCI-express slot and still be able to use all the other parts of the PC on it...like the CPU, RAM,...
Is there software which can suggest compatible motherboards?
Is there a very common motherboard I can get on eBay for cheap?

These are some info of my PC

You have a few options.

1) Sell your pci express and get an agp card (easiest option)

2) Upgrade to a socket 478 mobo that supports pci express, and also upgrade to ddr2 ram (only a couple of motherboards out there that will do this, and you might have to get another psu as well)

3) Build a new pc (best option, because your hardware is very dated and any upgrades are pretty much coming to a halt for p4/agp pc's, but also a lot more $$)

I'm upgrading to a gaming notebook next year so i just want a cheap fix for this one.
I can't return the card since i bought it from US and i live in Europe.Tried to sell it but...nothing.
