Which Motherboard ?
I need some help with choosing a motherboard. I had the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe in mind, but wasnt too sure it was best for me.
Anyway below are the parts i currently have, and now just waiting on the mobo.
Intel Core2Duo E6300
(I'll be upgrading the CPU to the QX6700 sometime within the next few months)
Sapphire X1900 XTX 512MB
Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2-800
Seagate Barracuda 320GB SATA II
Thermaltake Purepower 560W
Which motherboard is best for me ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Which Motherboard ?
first off instead of getting thi cpu nd upgrading in a few months i would suggest just getting the e6600
as for a motherboard
msi p6n-sli platnium edition
overclocks great alot of good reviews from many sites
and if you cant get the platnium edition the standard edition is only like 120 bucks which is a steal in my opnion

Re: Which Motherboard ?
go with the gigabyte ds3 its based on the p965 chipset, and most ppl here use it with their core 2 duos that they buy, and massively OC'ing with it

Re: Which Motherboard ?
Are you going to be doing any heavy overclocking? Probably not since that ram you have chose isn't very good for overclocking as I'm sorry to say...still the
MSI P6N 650I is my top pick right now.
Then the DS3
then for more money the P5B-E

Re: Which Motherboard ?
Also one more thing - Im wanting to get the R600 when its available.
Which is another reason why i had the P5W DH in mind - It supports crossfire.
So if i was going to get an ASUS 650i SLI Mobo for instance, would it matter whether i was using an ATI card or not?

Re: Which Motherboard ?
Abit AW9D-Max is a good contender in my view just select the board which is most suited for you i.e. number of sata ports, sli or crossfire.......

Re: Which Motherboard ?
AW9D-MAX, its what I use, board is great especially for overclocking with the high end c2d's it runs my e6600 at 3.6ghz 24/7 which aint half bad...
And it supports both sli and crossfire. For sli you need modded drivers, but w/e...
