Hey fellas I want to build a new rig but am a bit confused about what mob, ram, and psu to get. I want to a buy a mobo that will be compatible with future CPUs. For example I bought my last mobo in November 2005 with AMD 64 3500 socket 939 and now I have to buy a new mobo to fit the new CPUs Having said that I want to move on to pentium. Same thing goes with psu, and ram. I want a long lasting psu and ram. I will get 8800gtx, maybe one more in the future.

pentium blows, the 3500+ will take most of them no prob, get core 2 duo or something

My guess is that by pentium he means Intel, which ofcoarse would lead to a C2D.

For an 8800gtx an E6600 Core 2 Duo is a must to avoid bottlenecks.
I would suggest 2GB Ram by G.Skill.

choose any motherboard with 680i chipset , bfg evga and asus make 680i, also 680i works good with 8800gtx. good luck, if u have questions pm me
