Hi, I'm currently in the market for a new motherboard. I've been looking around and a few motherboards that have caught my eye say they are crossfire ready. I favor nvidia and would like to sli in the hopefully near future. I am wondering if it says that it is crossfire compatible, is also sli compatible?

nope. you would think that you could switch it around how ever you like but sadly it's not the case. so if you get crossfire you're stuck with ATI cards, if you SLI you're stuck with nvidia.

SLI = (intel boards at least) 650i, 680i, 750i, 780i, 790i.
If you plan to go SLI i suggest looking into the "Evga 750i FTW" board, as its the cheapest and one of the best SLI motherboards on the market at the moment.

i believe i've looked at that one and considered it. is that one of those that have that whole video corruption thing? i don't really know much about it, but i briefly read something on it, doesn't anyone have info on that?

Nope, but the ABIT AWD9 Max (really old 975x board) had drivers that could be both SLI and Crossfire ready
