Default Monitors

Hey,
What monitors are easiest on the eyes? About a month ago i purchased an LG 19" Widescreen monitor, and it is killing my eyes. I turned the brighness down, and played around with all the settings, but its so hard to look at. On my other computer i have an 17" square monitor. It doesnt hurt my eyes and works great. I dont know whether its because of the size, the widescreen, or just the monitor. Im thinking of returning this monitor and getting a 17' which is all i need. Can anyone recomend some monitors.

Is the monitor a CRT or an LCD? Does it hurt your eyes because of eye strain?

I think it's a matter of your eyes getting use to it. When I first moved from CRT to LCD, my eyes felt very weak. But after a week's use, it got back to normal.

i agree... when i first got my first LCD monitor and TV in the room (same day ironically) i thought they were both messed up, just a matter of getting used to

Somehow I feel that I'm missing out on this. I don't have any problems with CRTs or LCDs.
