Default Monitor question

Ok this might be a dumb question but here it goes. I just finished building the system in my sig (hoping it all works fine). I only have one monitor. Will it hurt to switch the monitor cable back and forth with both systems running. Asking because if I run into trouble I can plug into my working computer to get help.

Thanks.

I don't think you'd run into any trouble doing that. But why not just buy a used CRT monitor or something?

I plan to in the future. Wanted the nicest computer for my budget I had so I left out buying a monitor until later.

Thanks for the advice.
