Money Coming an a week or two and need build for a pc
Hey guys. I know I've been here in the forums asking for which builds to make and any suggestions and its less than two weeks I will be building my desktop computer. I do, however, need to know which parts to order.

Here's my wishlist so far.......

1. Should I get the 640MB Graphics Card instead and Downgrade to Premium Vista?
2. Im not going to be overclocking or anything like such...... however, I may try to overclock but I dont know how. Thats why I chose that specific RAM. But, how overclockable is that MOBO?

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to give me some input, anything even criticism is welcome. Hehe...

If you have a totally different build in mind, please share it to me, I would really appreciate it. But bare in mind that my budget is only around 1500 - 1600 including the monitor, I may go for a little more but that will lay me back a few more days or so to come up with the money.

So, I guess $2,000 will be my limit in say about a month from now? By that time, prices shoud go down already. Anyway, I would really appreciate your guy's input. Thanks

P.S. I prefer to have 22" screen if possible as well :D

No...that build is quite well informed and I would stay with the 340MB version as long as you have the 19inch. Why don't you compromise and get a 20.1inch screen? They aren't much more and run at a higher res though.

I would downgrade the E6400 to an E6300 and then take that 40 buxks and try and get a Sceptre 20.1inch wide for 220 bucks. The only difference you will notice from them is the difference of cash you payed for them.

1. Depends if you need all of the features or not. Here's a comparison:

Looks like a good build. Maybe do what Sora suggested and get an e6300 and a 20" monitor as a compromise.

The P5N-E Is such a good board for the price....It overclocks very well too.

I edited the build a little bit and here's what it looked like now......... I wonder if the PSU will be able to handle this graphics card. It only has one PCI-E power connector but I heard you can use an adapter or something

Here's what it looks like.... I cant seem to get the link to make it seen it public but here's the hardwares......

That's without the OS and after looking at the comparison between Premium and Ultimate Vista, I think I might go for the Premium Verson, Ultimate Vista looks cooler though haha the box! LOL

Does that look like a better one than the ones i had first?

Major Upgrades:
CPU to Core 2 E6600 instead of 6400
GPU to 640MB instead of the 320MB both GeForce 8800GTS
Monitor to 22" instead of the 19" both widescreen w/ DVI Connectors

Edit: Oops I guess I didnt have the PSU in there, lol thats why the price was a bit low. But Im sticking to the same one as posted on the first link above.

Sora 03-05-2007 08:41 PM

The 640mb version isn't all that needed really. Today's games run great still on 256MB and 320 is just a nice safe keeping. Your saying your budget is 2000 though right?

here is what I would get for 2000 right now.
