Default Mobo recommendation for Core 2 Duo?

Any thoughts on the best current motherboard for a Core 2 Duo E6600?

I've read decent (but not stellar) reviews on the MSI 975X Platinum V.2, and also read good things about the DFI Infinity 975X/G.

Any help appreciated.

From what I've read lately, sounds like the Asus P5W-DH Deluxe and the eVGA 680i SLi are the best boards for it if you plan on overclocking. If not, almost any 965 board would be good I think. Maybe a P5B or a DS3. This might help: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2914&p=4

Thanks, I'll check out that link.

I probably won't be doing much in the way of overclocking.

depends on your budget.

The best board for around 100 bucks is the Biostar 965PT. After that the DS3 around 135 is an excellent choice. Then The P5B-E around 150, up to the P5B Deluxe at around 180.
